Flickr, your end is near.

In an attempt to actually use my flickr account, I thought I’d upload a screenshot to it for a github issue I was creating to document an interface issue.

I completed the upload and went to embed the image and realized there wasn’t an apparent embed button and after clicking on a help icon I found out the following Flickr Guideline

Where is the HTML code and photo file link?

The direct link to a photo file is no longer shown on the page. Per the Flickr Community Guidelines “pages on other websites that display content hosted on flickr.com must provide a link from each photo or video back to its page on Flickr.” Linking directly to the photo file doesn’t do this.

Just let us share the content how we want. Forcing me to use your linkback system internally in another app that uses markdown is a pain. I now question whether or not I want to continue to use your service if this is how you treat users.
